Dinner on R.M.S. Titanic: An Encore
All right, Colorado couldn’t be much more land-locked, but who can resist a re-enactment of a first-class dinner aboard this famed and ill-fated magnificent ship? It’s April, 1912 and our guests will be enjoying a portion of the 11-course dinner served in first-class aboard the ship. The Pullman Room and adjoining Centennial Room of the Historic Strater Hotel will be decorated with ship memorabilia. Attendees will enter the banquet room as if arriving from on deck, amidst the fog and fog horn sounds. The Grandview Victorian Orchestra will provide lovely authentic music from this period and both female and male singers will add to the dazzle of the evening!
Each attendee will receive by mail a ticket in the name of one of the actual Titanic 1st class passengers. If you are a historian, you might wish to research the person you will portray, prior to the banquet. Upon arriving for dinner, each patron will receive a copy of an original Titanic boarding pass corresponding to the name of the traveler on his or her ticket, with a short biography of that person. Our guests should feel free to portray that individual during the dinner, or not, depending on individual preference. At the conclusion of the banquet, each guest will learn his or her fate when the ship met its demise.
Ladies, here’s a perfect opportunity to create a beautiful Titanic-era evening outfit to put you completely in the spirit of the evening!

This activity was such a huge success in 2011, with wait-listed people unable to be accommodated, that we will repeat the event in 2012; however, the evening will include new and improved additions, including singers and period-correct music by the Grandview Victorian Orchestra ! Fewer tickets will be sold in 2012 so as to provide a more spacious environment. Please do not delay in purchasing your tickets, since we again anticipate a sell-out on the ship!
