Animas Museum: "Ladies' Victorian Arts"
For 2012 our presentation will center around the construction and ornamentation of Victorian ladies' hats. The workshop will be presented by milliners Loreli Thayer from Durango, Sue McDonald from Prescott, Arizona, and Trudy White from Aurora, Colorado, with cockade ornamentation by Suzanne Wingfield of Fort Collins, Colorado. When: Saturday, Oct. 13, 2011, 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
Where: The Animas Museum, 3065 W. 2nd Ave., Durango. Rather than driving, consider using the free and convenient city trolley service from downtown.
Price: $4 museum admission fee, no charge for the special presentation.

The Animas Museum, Durango's only history museum, features a variety of exhibits on local and regional history and culture. The Museum is housed in the former Animas City School, constructed in 1904 and listed on Durango's register of historic buildings.
